| Land of Medicine Buddha Yoga Retreat May 16-18, 2008 Land of Medicine Buddha is a beautiful mountain retreat center situated on 170 acres among the redwoods in Soquel, California only 10 minutes from Highway One. The center is located between the Pacific Ocean and the California redwoods, and the forest and meadows extend into Nisene Marks State Park. The location provides a perfect space for guests to relax and recover from the strains of city life. In this unique environment you can enjoy fine walking and biking trails, be still with nature in the meadow, and discover the deep silence of the enchanted forest. Facilities include a traditional Buddhist temple, prayer wheels, library, bookstore, and sauna. Registration begins at 4:00 pm on Friday and the retreat ends at noon on Sunday. Four yoga classes will be offered and pranayama will be introduced. It will be a weekend of rejuvenation. Each room has its own private bath. All beds are twin size. All linens provided. Cost includes room, meals, yoga classes, and use of all facilities. All meals are vegetarian and mostly organic. The bright skylights, hard wood floors and views of the redwood trees of the Pine Room will create an excellent atmosphere for our yoga classes. | Mount Madonna Yoga Retreat September 5-7, 2008 Mount Madonna Center is a spiritual retreat center located in the Santa Cruz mountains midway between Watsonville and Gilroy. It sits atop Mount Madonna with a spectacular view of Monterey Bay. There are 355 acres of open meadows and redwood forests with plenty of hiking trails. Facilities include a book store/gift shop, massage center, sun decks, hot tub, a small lake for swimming, and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. Registration begins at 4:00 pm on Friday and dinner is at 5:30 pm. The retreat ends at 1:00 pm on Sunday. Four yoga classes will be offered and pranayama will be introduced. It will be a weekend of rejuvenation. Housing is available in hotel-style rooms with electricity and heat (no phones or televisions). Bathrooms are shared. All beds are twin size.
